Focus: Speaker stance, fact versus opinion and similar choices with one decisive difference.
What this test contains
Complete all three tasks: answer interview questions about helping others, form four questions about missing volunteer-project information, and compare individual and group support. Speak in complete, connected sentences and justify choices through all stated conditions. Total duration: 10–15 minutes.
Task 1: Interview — Helping others
Intervija — Palīdzība citiem
Answer the examiner’s ten questions in complete, connected sentences. In each answer, first name a specific support situation, then explain the action and its result. There is no preparation time for this task.
Task 2: Missing information — Neighbourhood support day
Trūkstošā informācija — Kaimiņu atbalsta diena
Read the notice about a volunteer project. Four pieces of information are missing. During preparation, form one complete open question about each specified point. Do not use the word “vai” in the questions.
Task 3: Comparing individual and group support
20 pointsIndividuāla un grupas atbalsta salīdzinājums
Study both images; preparation time is two to three minutes. Describe only visible facts, compare individual and group support, consider the advantages and constraints of both types, and justify your choice in both stated situations. Also answer two follow-up questions.
