The state language proficiency test at level A2 has four parts, sat separately. Each part is worth 15 points and you need 9 to pass it — and you must pass every part, so a strong reading score cannot rescue a weak listening one.
| Part | Time | Tasks | Points | To pass |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Reading | ≈ 30 min | 3 | 15 | 9 |
| Listening | ≈ 25 min | 3 | 15 | 9 |
| Writing | ≈ 35 min | 3 | 15 | 9 |
| Speaking | ≈ 10–15 min | 3 | 15 | 9 |
| Whole exam | 60 | 36 |
Every practice test here follows that structure: three tasks, 15 points, the same task types in the same order as the 2026 programme published by VIAA. VIAA
