What you will practise
A shared decision in a local community
Focus: Contrasting opinions, concession and three clear but linked constraints.
What this test contains
Complete all three tasks: answer interview questions about local participation, form four questions about missing information for a community workshop, and compare two public-space solutions. Speak in complete, connected sentences and justify your recommendation with the survey, budget, schedule, maintenance, noise, and family-need conditions. Total duration: 10–15 minutes.
Task 1: Interview — Participation in the local community
Intervija — Līdzdalība vietējā kopienā
Answer ten questions about your local area, shared decisions, and resident projects. Include a specific example, need, constraint, or possible compromise. Speak in complete, connected sentences.
Task 2: Missing information — Community ideas workshop
Trūkstošā informācija — Kopienas ideju darbnīca
Read the notice about a community ideas workshop. Four pieces of information are missing. During preparation, form one complete open question about each point. Do not use the word “vai” in the questions.
Task 3: Comparing two community outdoor-space solutions
20 pointsDivu kopienas ārtelpas risinājumu salīdzinājums
Study both images; preparation time is two to three minutes. First describe only visible facts and compare a green courtyard with an active recreation area. Then use the survey, budget, work, maintenance, noise, and family-need conditions below to recommend one solution to Jānis. Do not invent an exact time, relationships, or project costs from the images. Also answer two follow-up questions.
