What this test contains
Complete three tasks: answer questions about choosing and repairing devices, form four questions about missing repair-service information, and compare two solutions for using a faulty computer. Speak in complete, connected sentences and justify your recommendation using deadline, travel, price, warranty, and risk conditions. Total duration: 10–15 minutes.
Task 1: Interview — Buying and repairing devices
Intervija — Ierīču pirkšana un remonts
Answer ten questions about choosing devices, faults, repair, and warranties. Include a specific example, comparison, reason, or condition. Speak in complete, connected sentences.
Task 2: Missing information — Computer repair service
Trūkstošā informācija — Datoru remonta serviss
Read the repair-service notice. Four pieces of information are missing. During preparation, form one complete open question about each point. Do not use the word “vai” in the questions.
Task 3: Comparing two solutions for a faulty computer
20 pointsDivu risinājumu salīdzinājums bojātam datoram
Study both images; preparation time is two to three minutes. First describe only visible facts and compare working at home with an external monitor and repairing a computer at a community repair workshop. Then use the deadline, travel, price, warranty, and risk conditions below to recommend one solution to Māra. Do not invent an exact time, relationships, price, or warranty from the images. Also answer two follow-up questions.
