Focus: A clear main idea, explicit details and one simple paraphrase.

What this test contains

Complete all three tasks: answer the interview questions, form four information questions, and describe and compare both images. Speak in complete sentences and justify your opinions. Total speaking-section duration: 10–15 minutes.

Task 1: Interview — Getting to know a new community
Intervija — Iepazīšanās ar jaunu kopienu
Answer the examiner’s questions in complete, connected sentences. Where possible, add a reason, an example, or a brief comparison. There is no preparation time for this task.
Task 2: Questions about a conversation club
Jautājumi par sarunu klubu
Read the advertisement and use two minutes to prepare four complete questions about the missing information. Ask one question for each target. Do not use “vai” as the question word.
Task 3: Comparing two community events
20 points
Divu kopienas pasākumu salīdzinājums
Use two to three minutes to prepare a description and comparison of both images. Speak about the place, people, actions, possible time, and other relevant details. State at least one similarity and two differences. Then answer both follow-up questions and justify your opinion.
